The room was decked out like a little corner of Paris with costumes for the kids and quality drawing supplies. Ghosts of Riders Passed. Although the current Canterbury Velodrome was only built in 1983, the original was established in 1928, so the area has a long association with cycling. Maybe it’s partly the Roubaix connection, being and outdoor track, but the place has a very historic feel about it.
