Heroes of the Tour de France: Jens Voigt
The Tour may not have panned out as Leopard Trek would’ve liked, but the team still did an awesome job. It must be quite something for the Schlecks to be able to go into a big race knowing they have the likes of Cancellara, O’Grady and especially Jens Voigt on their side.
Jens is Chuck Norris, the Energizer Bunny and The Thing all rolled into one.  He’s loyal, strong as an ox, unstoppable, and unbreakable.  The word ‘tired’ is not in his vocabulary.
Look at this picture.  This is the second time in the space of three minutes Jens has crashed on a sketchy and dangerous descent.  He’s barely finished receiving his second helping of road rash for the day.  And what’s going through his mind?  Fear?  Panic?  Pain?  No, Jens is angry.  His mind is on the job and this crash is keeping him from what he does best - kicking the entire peloton’s arse.  So he got right back to it.
Hardman? Jens Voigt is so hard, he’s the only man to have been through a black hole and survived.  If you Google “toughest cyclist ever”, you will find Jens Voigt and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfiBbZJTx9s&feature=player_embedded  Just another day at the office for Big Jens.  Toughest. Cyclist. Ever.
